|Eagle National Bank Lends Support to Lansdowne’s July 4th Celebration|
Landsdowne, PA - While so many organizations are cutting back on activities, The Union Athletic Association of Lansdowne expects to put on “The Show of Shows” this July 4th, thanks in part to a generous donation from the Lansdowne Branch of Eagle National Bank.
Eagle’s donation along with contributions from residents and businesses will help to continue a tradition held in Lansdowne since 1904. As Eagle's Assistant VP, Karen Doherty presented the check, UAA President, George Patouhas shared his excitement and gratitude, saying, “With this donation, we are thrilled to be able to hire a brand new fireworks company with an impressive and prestigious client list, which includes professional sports teams and Atlantic City casinos. They’ve promised us a spectacular show!”
On July 4th, an exciting parade, featuring the award-winning Fralinger String Band, is planned for the morning, followed by family fun all day at the Penn Wood High School Football field. Evening on the field will begin at 7:45pm, with music from local favorite, DJ Anthony Stefos, and will build to a grand finale that will light up the sky with dazzling fireworks, starting at 9pm. A “fireworks-only” rain date is set for July 5th at 9pm.
